Part Time Academic Faculty Teaching Assistant (CCNM - Boucher Campus)

The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) Boucher Campus is seeking Teaching Assistants (TAs). for the Case Based Curriculum. Tutorials and practicums play a prominent role in CCNM curriculum, and accordingly TAs are pivotal to our programmatic success.
Working closely with course instructors and collaboratively within a highly integrated educational team, the TA implements curriculum in alignment with the EC’s key curricular design principles. In accordance, the TA takes learners beyond the simple mastery of facts; they facilitate learning for understanding.
January 2025: Teaching Assistant Opportunities
Course Information Class Schedule
Clinical Medicine (CMS) 150 TA In person practical skills sessions on select Wednesdays from 2 - 5 p.m.
Clinic Education (CLE) In-person preferred (virtual considered). Select Mondays and/or Tuesdays and or Wednesdays from 2:30 - 3:30 p.m.
Patient Centred Integrated Studies (PCS) In Person. Select Tuesdays and or Wednesdays 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Payrate for Teaching Assistants: $55/ hour

Qualifications
Education
  • The ideal candidate will be a Board licensed ND, DOM, RN, DC, MD, etc.
  • Masters or PhD in a related discipline is an asset
  • Training in teaching methodology, curriculum design, and evaluation at a post-secondary level is an asset
  • Note additional qualifications will be course dependent.
Experience
  • Recent graduates of the CCNM Boucher program will be considered
  • Teaching experience with adult learners, particularly in practicum or tutorial settings is an asset.
  • A background in innovative, interactive teaching an asset.
Skills
  • Excellent written, oral and presentation/communication skills
  • Ability to exercise professional judgment in a highly confidential environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to fair, rigorous (valid and reliable), and transparent assessment.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Positive commitment to student success
  • Demonstrated commitment to naturopathic program objectives
The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM), established in 1978, is Canada's premier, pan-Canadian academic institution for education and research in naturopathic medicine. CCNM has two campuses, one in Toronto and another in the Metro Vancouver area known as the Boucher Campus. Its graduates are eligible to write the licensing examinations for all regulated jurisdictions in Canada and the United States to become naturopathic doctors.
