Full Time Faculty (CCNM - Boucher Campus)

We are currently looking for a dynamic, energetic and engaging faculty member to work in both the Academic and Clinic Departments. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional teaching skills and a passion for clinical and academic education. In your clinical work you will provide primary naturopathic medical care and supervise naturopathic medical students during clinical training. The incumbent will ensure that students achieve the clinical competencies outlined in the clinical curriculum. This position will also have teaching responsibilities within the Academic Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining an inclusive, equitable and collegial environment across all their activities and involvement at the College.
CCNM follows government or site-specific requirements with respect to vaccination and proof will be required based on the nature of the role.

Qualifications
  • Naturopathic Degree or Diploma from a CNME-accredited Naturopathic Medical Program
  • Registered as an ND, licensed in the Province of British Columbia
  • Pharmacology and IV therapy licenses required
  • Masters or PhD in related discipline an asset
  • In good standing with CCHPBC and with any other professional regulatory body with which they have been a member
  • Training in teaching methodology, curriculum design, measurement and evaluation at a post -secondary level an asset
  • Demonstrated expertise in assessment and treatment in naturopathic medicine (i.e., differential diagnosis, laboratory medicine, botanical medicine, nutrition etc.)
  • Proficient in teaching in a small group setting and teaching experience in a clinical education setting
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to direct concurrent activities, and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively– both orally, including experience with presentations, and in writing and the ability to be flexible, discrete, diplomatic and tactful
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact effectively with all levels of internal and external representatives
  • Effective negotiation and conflict management skills to deal with a wide variety of patient and student needs
  • Ability to exercise professional judgment in a highly confidential environment
The salary for this full-time position starts at $61,500/year commensurate with education and experience.
The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM), is Canada’s premier, pan-Canadian academic institution for education and research in naturopathic medicine. Our graduates are eligible to write the licensing examinations for all regulated jurisdictions in Canada and the United States to become naturopathic doctors.
