Full Time Temporary Academic Faculty (Maternity Leave) (CCNM - Boucher Campus)

Available: February 2025 – August 2025
We are currently looking for a dynamic, energetic and engaging faculty member to work in the Academic Departments in a full time (80%) temporary position. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional teaching skills and a passion for academic education. In this role you will be responsible for maintaining an inclusive, equitable and collegial environment across all their activities and involvement at the College.
Workloads less than 80% will be considered.

Qualifications
  • Naturopathic degree or diploma from a CNME-accredited naturopathic medical program
  • Masters or PhD in related discipline an asset
  • In good standing with CNPBC and with any other professional regulatory body with which they have been a member.
  • Training in teaching methodology, curriculum design, measurement and evaluation at a post -secondary level an asset
  • Demonstrated expertise in assessment and treatment in naturopathic medicine (i.e., differential diagnosis, laboratory medicine, botanical medicine, nutrition etc.).
  • Proficient in teaching in a small group setting and teaching experience in a clinical education setting
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to direct concurrent activities, and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively– both orally, including experience with presentations, and in writing and the ability to be flexible, discrete, diplomatic and tactful
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact effectively with all levels of internal and external representatives
  • Effective negotiation and conflict management skills to deal with a wide variety of patient and student needs
  • Ability to exercise professional judgment in a highly confidential environment
Salary for this position, based on experience is $61,500/year.

The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM), established in 1978, is Canada's premier, pan Canadian academic institution for education and research in naturopathic medicine. CCNM has two campuses, one in Toronto and another in the Metro Vancouver area known as the Boucher Campus. Its graduates are eligible to write the licensing examinations for all regulated jurisdictions in Canada and the United States to become naturopathic doctors.
