Lead Instructor for PCS300 (CCNM - Boucher Campus)
We are currently looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and experienced faculty to work with us as Lead Instructors on the Boucher Campus in the case-based curriculum, Year 3. We are looking for Lead Instructors for the following courses:
PCS300
In this role you will coordinate the activities of the course with Teaching Assistants and ensure that the course delivery aligns with the design of the case-based curriculum as outlined in the Teaching and Learning Manual. This position is specific to the case-based curriculum.
The majority of this work is administrative and will include:
1. Ensure course shells are customized, contain all needed artefacts, and ready for students to access on the relevant campus, 1 week before the first day of term.
2. Coordinate communication with students and consults with others as needed
3. Schedule TA and student activities
4. Oversee and provide guidance to TA’s
5. Ensure new instructional content is uploaded onto the learning management system and revealed to students in timely fashion as per the directions of the CBC Design team
6. Respond to student course inquiries professionally and in a timely manner (e.g. within 48 hours).
7. Reviews and approves all questions/assessments
8. Make recommendations to the CBC Design team
9. Assist in designing, or design, rescheduled assessments and remediation/supplemental opportunities
10. Upload final grades to Moodle for transfer to Sonis
11. Identify students who need support in the course and connects them to learner services.

Qualifications
Education
- The ideal candidate will possess a Masters or PhD in the related disciplines and/or will be trained as a ND, DOM, RN, DC, MD etc.
- Training in teaching methodology, curriculum design, and evaluation at a post -secondary level is an asset
Skills
- Excellent computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office suite; good understanding of student information technology, including Moodle
- Project Management skills an asset
- Excellent written, oral and presentation/communication skills
- Ability to exercise professional judgment in a highly confidential environment
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Positive commitment to student success
- Demonstrated commitment to naturopathic program objectives
The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM), established in 1978, is Canada's premier, pan-Canadian academic institution for education and research in naturopathic medicine. CCNM has two campuses, one in Toronto and another in the Metro Vancouver area known as the Boucher Campus.
