The following is a list of scholarships and bursaries currently available to qualifying CCNM students for the 2023 – 2024 academic year.

  • CCNM - Toronto Scholarships
    Alpha Science Laboratories Prize for Excellence in Botanical Medicine
    Three prizes of $1,000 each will be awarded to students for the highest mark in botanical medicine in the academic year 2023/2024.
    Boiron Scholarship for Clinical Homeopathy
    Boiron Canada Inc. is awarding two scholarships to students enrolled in the naturopathic program at CCNM to attend a clinical homeopathy training program offered by the Centre for Education and Development of Homeopathy (CEDH), which was founded in 1972 to provide training in homeopathy tailored to progressive levels of clinical experience. Each scholarship is valued at $2,400.
    CCNM Year 3 Scholarship
    One scholarship of $2,500 will be rewarded to one third-year student based on GPA.
    ETD-Seirin Scholarship for Excellence in Asian Medicine (Year 3)
    The ETD-Seirin Scholarship for Excellence in Asian Medicine was established by Electro-Therapeutic Devices Inc. and Seirin Co. Ltd to recognize excellence in Asian medicine among students at CCNM. The recipient of the scholarship will receive $3,000.
    Dr. James W. Spring, DC, ND Memorial Scholarship
    To honour the memory of Dr. Jim Spring, DC, ND, who passed away in June 2021, the Dr. James W. Spring DC, ND Memorial Scholarship was established by his family and friends. An award of $2,000 will be given to a third-year CCNM student who shares Jim’s warmth, collegiality and passion for the naturopathic profession, while maintaining a strong academic performance across all modalities. The winner of this scholarship will also receive the opportunity to intern at the Dundas Naturopathic Centre and be mentored by Dr. Spring’s colleagues.
    Fullscript Scholarship for Excellence in Research
    This scholarship, sponsored by Fullscript, awards $2,500 to one student enrolled full-time, in any year of the CCNM program, that has demonstrated an interest in research while maintaining strong academic achievement.
    Mubina Jiwa Memorial Scholarship
    Established by friends and family of the late Dr. Mubina Jiwa, ND, to honour her memory, the scholarship of $1,500 will be awarded to a student at CCNM.
    Pascoe Scholarship for Excellence in Naturopathic Medicine
    This scholarship, sponsored by Pascoe Canada, awards $2,500 to one student enrolled full-time in the CCNM program that has demonstrated an interest in advancing the naturopathic profession while maintaining strong academic achievement.
    Robert Schad Leadership Scholarship
    The scholarship will be awarded to a candidate who demonstrates the potential to develop into a leader and change-maker within the naturopathic profession. The winner will receive $10,000 per year for years two, three and four of the program, provided they maintain a GPA of at least 3.7. Applications are open to those who rank in the top 10% of their class at the end of first year.
    Caviar Skin Clinic Scholarship for Women in Leadership
    Caviar Skin Clinic believes in empowering women and investing in future leaders to help set them up for success. This scholarship recognizes and awards one woman student in fourth year student, enrolled at CCNM (Boucher or Toronto) with $2,000, based on financial need.

    Plant a Seed and See What Grows Bursary
    The Plant a Seed and See What Grows Bursary was established by the Plant a Seed and See What Grows Foundation to honour a full- time student in any year with an interest in organized gardening and farming. $1,000 will be awarded to one student.
    Year 1 Bursaries
    Ottawa Integrative Health Centre Bursary
    The Ottawa Integrative Health Centre Bursary will award $1,000 to one student, enrolled full-time in the CCNM program, in the first year January intake, who can demonstrate financial need. Eligible applicants must be registered as a full-time student in the naturopathic program, demonstrate financial need, and submit a resume.
    Year 2 Bursaries

    Thanks to our generous donors, a number of $2,500 bursaries are available to returning students. Eligible applicants must be registered as a full-time student, demonstrate financial need and qualify for government financial aid, and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.

    $1,000 awarded to the graduating student who has demonstrated outstanding academic performance in the naturopathic medicine program.
    Humanitarian Award
    Sponsored by the CCNM
    $1,000 awarded to the graduating student who has best exemplified dedication to the betterment and service of humanity, as demonstrated through words and deeds that reflect the principles of naturopathic medicine and that produce meaningful change in the lives of others.
    Leadership Award
    Sponsored by CCNM
    $1,000 awarded to the graduating student who has best exemplified outstanding leadership within the CCNM community.
    NSA Community Spirit Award
    Sponsored by the NSA
    $1,000 awarded to the student who has demonstrated exceptional commitment and a consistent desire to promote student life during their time at CCNM, and through their involvement has greatly contributed to raising school spirit by making a positive imprint on the CCNM community.
    NSA Naturopathic Honour Award
    Sponsored by the NSA
    $1,000 awarded to the student who has revealed outstanding leadership, contribution and dedication to CCNM throughout their four years. It recognizes a student who served as a role model to other students, inspired students to take action, and most actively and positively impacted CCNM as an agent of change.

    Dr. Nicole Robinson Memorial Award
    Sponsored by The Robinson Family
    The Dr. Nicole Robinson Memorial Award was established to honour the memory of a beloved CCNM - Boucher Campus alumna who passed away shortly after her graduation in 2006. Nicole was a vibrant, involved student who loved CCNM - Boucher and was passionate about naturopathic medicine. One $5,000 scholarship is awarded to a third-year student.
    Dr. Patricia Wolfe Scholarship
    With wisdom, compassion and dedication, Dr. Wolfe helped create a community of contemplative and self-reflective leaders and healers. As a tribute to her enduring legacy at the CCNM - Boucher Campus, the Dr. Patricia Wolfe Scholarship of $2,500 is awarded to a first-year student who best demonstrates a commitment to engaging the community and embodies self-reflection and contemplative values in their life.
    Gerry Farnsworth Memorial Award
    One award of $1,000 is provided to a first-year student who best demonstrates how their efforts to advocate and expand the naturopathic medical profession reflect those of Dr. Gerry Farnsworth’s efforts in pioneering the profession.
    Ottawa Integrative Health Centre Bursary

    Dr. Andy Somody Scholarship in Homeopathy
    One $1,000 scholarship is provided to a student in year two or year three who best demonstrates why they believe in homeopathy and how they would apply it in their practice.
    Dr. Shabita Teja Scholarship
    One $500 scholarship is awarded to a fourth-year student who demonstrates resilience, dedication and persistence to the study of naturopathic medicine.
    Caviar Skin Clinic Scholarship for Women in Leadership
    Caviar Skin Clinic believes in empowering women and investing in future leaders to help set them up for success. This scholarship recognizes and awards one woman student in fourth year student, enrolled at CCNM (Boucher or Toronto) with $2000, based on financial need.

    All Years
    Robert Schad Foundation Bursaries
    The Robert Schad Foundation has generously donated eight bursaries of $2,500. They are awarded to two students in each year of the program who demonstrate academic excellence and financial need.
    Plant a Seed and See What Grows Bursary
    The Plant a Seed and See What Grows Bursary was established by the Plant a Seed and See What Grows Foundation to honour a full- time student in any year with an interest in organized gardening and farming. $1,000 will be awarded to one student.
    Pascoe Scholarship for Excellence in Naturopathic Medicine
    This scholarship, sponsored by Pascoe Canada, awards $2,500 to one student enrolled full-time in the CCNM program that has demonstrated an interest in advancing the naturopathic profession while maintaining strong academic achievement.
    Bursary for CCNM Students
    Two bursaries of $1,500 bursaries will be awarded to students at either campus based on academic performance and financial need.
    NFH Scholarship for Community Excellence
    The NFH Scholarship for Community Excellence will award $1,000 to four students on the Toronto campus in years one, two, three and four and $1,000 to one third-year student on the Boucher campus. The recipients will be students who recognize the importance of community involvement and demonstrate an interest in being part of the greater community either in school or outside of school.
    Mubina Jiwa Memorial Scholarship
    Established by friends and family of the late Dr. Mubina Jiwa, ND, to honour her memory, the scholarship of $1,500 will be awarded to a student at CCNM.
    Yvonne Sinnott Scholarship for Community Involvement and Volunteerism
    This scholarship was established to honour the memory of Yvonne Sinnott, who passed away in December 2022. Yvonne was an active volunteer and was passionate about helping others. This scholarship recognizes two full-time CCNM students ($2,500 each) in any year, on either campus, who demonstrate Yvonne’s passion for volunteerism and community service.
    Indigenous Student Award
    The Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation sponsors a bursary for students who are Canadian status Indian, Inuit or member of a recognized First Nations band, including Métis. Two awards of $2,500 will be awarded to students who qualify.
    Year 1
    AOR Entrance Scholarships
    No application required. Two prizes of $2,500 each will be awarded to the first-year student based on GPA.
    CanPrev Entrance Scholarship
    One bursary of $2,500 will be awarded to one first-year student at either campus based on financial need and academic performance.
    Alpha Science Laboratories Prize for Excellence in Naturopathic Therapeutics
    No application required. One prize of $1,000 each will be awarded to the student with the highest mark in the first-year Naturopathic Therapeutics course.

    Dr. Richard McCrorie Memorial Bursary
    One award of $2,500 to be applied to tuition for the 2023-2024 academic year, sponsored by Roger and Mary McCrorie and Lisa McCrorie-Hogan in honour of their late son and brother, Dr. Richard McCrorie, ND. Eligible applicants must demonstrate financial need and be eligible for government financial aid, as well as demonstrate a drive towards adopting the ideal characteristics of a naturopathic doctor into their future practice.
    OPIS-Seiren Scholarship for Excellence in Asian Medicine
    The OPIS-Seiren Scholarship for Excellence in Asian Medicine was established by Electro-Therapeutic Devices Inc. and Seirin Co. Ltd to recognize excellence in Asian medicine among students at CCNM. The recipient of the scholarship will receive $3,000.
    Alpha Science Laboratories Prize for Excellence in Botanical Medicine
    No application required. One prize of $1,000 each will be awarded to the student with the highest mark in Botanical Medicine III in the academic year 2024/2025.
    David Scotten Scholarship for Excellence in Naturopathic Medicine
    This scholarship was established to honour Dr David Scotten, ND, a visionary and pillar of naturopathic medical education in Canada. One $2,000 award will be provided to a third-year student on either campus whose leadership has positively impacted the CCNM community.

    Dr. Kenn Luby, ND Memorial Scholarship for Excellence in Homeopathic Medicine
    To honour the memory of Dr. Kenn Luby, ND, who passed away in August 2020, the Dr. Kenn Luby, ND Memorial Scholarship for Excellence in Homeopathic Medicine was established in November 2020 by his husband David Klausner. An award of $2,500 will be awarded to two third- or fourth-year students at CCNM who demonstrate excellence in homeopathic medicine through submission of a constitutional homeopathic case report. The case intake should be done entirely by the applicant, may not be done on themselves, and maintain professional standards of confidentiality.
    Alpha Science Laboratories Prize for Excellence in Case Reporting
    No application required. One prize of $1,000 in cash and $1,000 in products from Alpha Science Laboratories will be awarded to the student with the highest mark in the Case Report assignment (CLE450 – Clinic VI) for the academic year 2023/2024.

    BNSA Naturopathic Honour Award
    The BNSA Naturopathic Honour Award is the most prestigious award that the Boucher Naturopathic Students’ Association (BNSA) can bestow on any of its members. It is awarded to a student in the graduating year who has revealed outstanding leadership, dedication, and contribution to CCNM throughout their time at CCNM. More specifically, it is a recognition of a student who has served as a role model to other students, inspired students to take action, and most actively and positively impacted CCNM as an agent of change.
    BNSA Community Spirit Award
    The BNSA Community Spirit Award is given to a student in the graduating year who has demonstrated exceptional commitment and a consistent desire to promote student life during their time at CCNM, and through their involvement has greatly contributed to raising school spirit by making a positive imprint on the CCNM community at large.
