Part Time Faculty & Admin - Biomedicine (CCNM - Boucher Campus)

The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) Boucher Campus is seeking an instructor in biomedicine with additional administrative responsibilities..
Note the administrative responsibilities start immediately and continue until the end of August. The instruction is from January – June 2023.
Administrative Responsibilities
Administrative responsibilities may include but are not limited to creation and marking of quizzes and exams, scheduling of instructors, and syllabi assignments. Hours of work are variable depending on needs of the department and projects. Work can be complete on or off site. Payment will be processed upon completion of deliverables.
Biomedicine Instruction
As a synthesis of several fields of study, the biomedicine program sets out to promote an integrative and holistic view of how they contribute to the function and dysfunction of the human body. The courses include contributions from physiology, biochemistry, pathology, histology, embryology, neuroanatomy, pharmacology, and laboratory diagnosis.
This position will include Biomedicine V and VI.
Biomedicine V - focuses on the cardiovascular and respiratory systems
Biomedicine VI: focuses on the gastrointestinal, renal, and reproductive systems.
Availability: Biomedicine is a team-taught courses. Instructors are not expected to be available for all times.
Jan 3 - Mar 24: Tues 9 a.m. - noon, Wed 9 a.m. - noon, Fri 9 a.m. - noon
Apr 3 – Jun 23: Tues 9 a.m. - noon, Thurs 1 - 4 p.m., Fri 9 a.m. - noon

Qualifications
Education
  • The ideal candidate will possess a Masters or PhD in the related disciplines and/or will be a Board licensed ND, RN, MD, etc.
  • Recent graduate of the CCNM Boucher program is an asset.
  • Training in teaching methodology, curriculum design, and evaluation at a post-secondary level is an asset
  • Experience
  • Teaching experience with adult learners is an asset.

  • Excellent written, oral and presentation/communication skills
  • Ability to exercise professional judgment in a highly confidential environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to fair, rigorous (valid and reliable), and transparent assessment.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills

CCNM follows government or site-specific requirements with respect to vaccination and proof may be required based on the nature of the role.
The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM), established in 1978, is Canada's premier, pan-Canadian academic institution for education and research in naturopathic medicine. CCNM has two campuses, one in Toronto and another in the Metro Vancouver area known as the Boucher Campus. Its graduates are eligible to write the licensing examinations for all regulated jurisdictions in Canada and the United States to become naturopathic doctors.
