The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) Boucher Campus is seeking two Part-time Clinical Faculty to supervise 1st- 4th year interns at the Boucher Naturopathic Medical Clinic. The Clinical Faculty Supervisor is responsible for the delivery of patient care and the clinical education curriculum at CCNM–Boucher Campus teaching clinic(s). The Clinical Faculty member is responsible for all aspects of patient care and has final approval on all proposed course of action by the interns. In addition, this position is also required as scheduled to take part in presentations.
Clinical faculty will familiarize themselves and adhere to all CCNM-Boucher Campus policies and procedures, clinic operations, Clinical Faculty and Intern handbooks and any policies that may subsequently be adopted by the BNMC teaching clinic.
As a condition of employment, successful candidates are required to submit proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
Available:
- July 4, 2023 – December 31, 2023
- Campus: 4-hour shift 4:30 - 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday
- On call shifts also available
Qualifications
Education
- Naturopathic degree from a CNME-accredited naturopathic medical program
- Active licensure with the CNPBC and insurance to practice in British Columbia
- Pharmacology and IV therapy licensing an asset
Experience
- Previous teaching experience preferred
- Minimum three to five years of experience in practice as naturopathic physicians
Skills
- Ability to motivate and engage students
- Ability to adapt and excel in new delivery and assessment platforms
- Excellent, demonstrable communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact effectively with students and colleagues
- Positive, demonstrated commitment to student success
The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM), established in 1978, is Canada's premier, pan-Canadian academic institution for education and research in naturopathic medicine. CCNM has two campuses, one in Toronto and another in the Metro Vancouver area known as the Boucher Campus. Its graduates are eligible to write the licensing examinations for all regulated jurisdictions in Canada and the United States to become naturopathic doctors.
