Help Desk Assistant (Information Systems) (CCNM - Toronto Campus)

We are currently looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Help Desk Assistant professional to provide exemplary technical support to the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) staff, faculty and students.
Reporting to the Director, Information Systems & Services, this challenging position will include the following duties.
Job Responsibilities Overview:
  • Provide administrative and general day-to-day operational support to the Director, IS.
  • Provide effective and efficient first-line customer service support on IT related inquiries via telephone, MS Teams and e-mail
  • Support students and faculty and deliver prompt response to in-classroom common technology issues
  • Escalate issues that require desk side, application or administrative support to the appropriate IS team member
  • Accurately document and report Information Systems activities in the help desk ticketing system and maintain department records on software license renewals
  • Provide support in documenting and reviewing policies, processes and procedures for the IS department
  • Collaborate with the IS Business Analyst on coordinating department project communication
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Post-secondary Certificate from an accredited Information Technology program, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of (2) years of direct customer service experience to support a wide variety of internal and external clients and vendors is required
  • Demonstrated understanding of information technology with respect to customer experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to show empathy.
  • Solid understanding and working knowledge of desktop and smartphone applications.
  • Proficiency in, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and the Microsoft Office 365 Suite of applications.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Experience supporting a diverse student population is an asset.
The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM), established in 1978, is Canada's premier, pan Canadian academic institution for education and research in naturopathic medicine. CCNM has two campuses, one in Toronto and another in the Metro Vancouver area known as the Boucher Campus. Its graduates are eligible to write the licensing examinations for all regulated jurisdictions in Canada and the United States to become naturopathic doctors.
