Assistant Registrar (CCNM - Boucher Campus)

The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) Boucher Campus is seeking an Assistant Registrar. This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service to students, staff, and faculty and monitors the quality of service provided by the Office of the Registrar Boucher Campus.
Duties will include:
  • Working with the Registrar to create and maintain accurate and complete records in compliance with provincial government agencies, U.S. Department of Education, and accrediting bodies and reports necessary data as required
  • Coordinates the timely and accurate generation and distribution of transcripts, diplomas, enrolment and graduation letters, etc.
  • Assists the Registrar to ensure the effective functioning of attendance tracking as well as ensuring student loan requirements of BC Aid, and other provincial and government loan departments, such as the U.S. Department of Education are adhered to.
  • Coordinates the work, practices and procedures of the Office of the Registrar - Boucher Campus and makes recommendations to Registrar for efficiency alterations, improvements.
  • Coordinates and processes advanced standing, transfer credit evaluation and academic progress are reviewed and graduation evaluations are performed
  • reviews and updates Office of the Registrar projects to ensure student’s needs are met on a consistent basis
  • Supervises the Financial Aid Assistant
  • Participates in projects/initiatives and ensures Registrar is continuously updated on status
Available: ASAP

  • Bachelor’s Degree in higher education or related field Master’s degree an asset.
  • Two to five years’ experience in a college/university student services environment
  • Knowledge of guidelines, policies and reporting requirements as set out by the Private Training Institutions Branch (PTIB) – Government of BC, Degree Quality Assessment Board (DQAB), U.S. Department of Education, NABNE and the CNME.
  • Computer literacy in all range of administrative support programs including student information systems and Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, MS Project
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deal effectively– both orally and in writing- with individuals at all levels within the organization
  • Tact, discretion and ability to exercise professional judgment in a highly confidential environment
At CCNM, we take pride in our flexible work policy, where our employees have the opportunity to work both remotely and on-site. Each employee’s flexible work schedule will be determined by the Manager and is based on the department’s operational needs.

The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM), established in 1978, is Canada's premier, panCanadian academic institution for education and research in naturopathic medicine. CCNM has two campuses, one in Toronto and another in the Metro Vancouver area known as the Boucher Campus. Its graduates are eligible to write the licensing examinations for all regulated jurisdictions in Canada and the United States to become naturopathic doctors.
